To make your move easier and more efficient, we can disassemble and reassemble furniture. Here is a list of things that must be done before the movers arrive at your home.
If there is anything else you would like F & S Moving Co. to do, please make a note on the master list sheet so we can include it in the bid. The first items to be moved out are beds, mirrors, dressers, and chests, in that order. At that time, if there are any pieces of furniture that are not on the list or if you need to take pieces off the list, we will do so and adjust the price.

Please have all vehicles moved out of the driveway prior to our arrival. If you live in an apartment please save a parking spot as close to your entrance as possible.

Water beds must be completely drained and taken apart. If there are drawers under the water bed they must be empty.

Mirrors Must be taken off dressers and vanities.

Furniture such as armoires, bakers racks, bookcases, buffets, china cabinets, curio cabinets, stereo cabinets, storage cabinets, kitchen cabinets, rolltop desks, credenzas, office desks, servers, computer desks, freezers, refrigerators, pie safes, secretaries, metal shelves, wood shelves, and wardrobes must be empty of all contents.

The weights and pendulum must be removed from grandfather clocks.

Remove the glass plate from microwave.

Televisions, stereos, speakers, and VCR should have cords disconnected and tied up so they are not hanging loose.

All charcoal must be cleaned out of barbecue grill.

Any perfumes, cosmetics, books, pictures, jewelry, magazines, records, photo albums, coin collections, or anything breakable, spillable, or heavy must be taken out of the drawers of dressers and chests. Only clothing can stay in.


We are not responsible for any damage to pressed wood or particle board furniture unless it is disassembled first.

All customers are responsible for covering their floors when the weather is messy or during new construction.
